What did I grow last summer…?

The best way to remember what you grew is to take plenty of pictures. Digital cameras make picture taking easy and less expensive. You can take as many pictures as you’d like and only print the ones you really want. Garden memories are vivid with pictures.

And the club officers will be…

The Annadale Garden Club held its annual election at the November meeting. The new club officers will be:

President: Leslie Heffner
Vice-President: Joel Heffner
Corresponding Secretary: Olga Federico
Recording Secretary: Barbara Hosie
Treasurer: Denise Solomon
Board of Directors
Jean Bennett and Karen Masculi (2008-2010)
Christine Angel and Georgie Hicenbothem (2010-2012)

The new officers will be installed at the club’s next meeting on December 4, 2009.

Everyone had a fun time…and took home all kinds of goodies. Thanks to all of those who attended and special thanks to those who made the event possible by contributing goods and helping to set up the auction. Wow…what an auction!

However, Dr. Olga Federico, a member of the Anndale Garden Club wrote an article in the Staten Island Advance that may make you think twice. Her article is called Butterfly Weed lets the garden take wing. Read it and see what how lovely a weed can really be.
